More Skoda Peaq details revealed

SKODA has released new details around its incoming Peaq large electric SUV model, which is expected on Australian shores at some point during 2027. 

 

Measuring 4874mm long, 1664mm tall, and with a wheelbase of 2965mm, the Peaq will become the largest vehicle in Skoda’s line-up and its flagship electric SUV model.

 

Compared to the Kodiaq large SUV, the Peaq is 116mm longer, 5mm taller, and has a wheelbase 174mm longer.

 

It will be available in both seven- and five-seat configurations, with the latter offering boot space of up to 935 litres with an additional 37 litres found in the ‘frunk’ storage.

 

The Peaq will be available with three different powertrain options.

 

Kicking-off the line-up will be the 60 variant, featuring a rear-wheel drive electric powertrain – sourcing power from a 63kWh (gross) lithium-ion battery – producing 150kW, good for a 0-100km/h time of 8.6 seconds and a claimed electric driving range of more than 460km.

 

Skoda also claimed a 10 to 80 per cent DC charging time of less than 27 minutes.

 

The mid-spec 90 model ups the power output to 210kW and the battery capacity to 91kWh. This model has a claimed 0-100km/h time of 7.1 seconds, an electric driving range of over 600km, and a 10 to 80 per cent DC charging time of under 28 minutes.

 

At the top of the range, the 90x model is also equipped with a 91kWh battery but adds dual-motor all-wheel drive, increases the power output to 220kW, and drops the 0-100km/h time to 6.7 seconds, while retaining a claimed driving range north of 600km.

 

The Peaq will also support both vehicle-to-load (V2L) and bidirectional vehicle-to-home (V2H) functionality.

 

While Skoda is yet to detail the Peaq’s entire trim level structure, the electric SUV will be available in Sportline specification from launch, equipped with 20-inch alloy wheels as standard (with optional 21-inch wheels also available), gloss black exterior elements, an illuminated ‘tech deck’ front fascia, and matrix LED headlights.

 

Additionally, the Peaq will be available in 10 different exterior colour choices, with alloy wheel sizes ranging between 19- and 21 inches.

 

Inside, you’ll find two-spoke multifunction steering wheel (or a three-spoke wheel with regen paddle shifters in Sportline specification), a 13.6-inch vertical infotainment display with haptic controls, a 10.0-inch digital instrument cluster, a heads-up display (available as an option), a dual phonebox with wireless charging, a panoramic sunroof with dynamic shade control, and an electric luggage compartment roller shutter.

 

An optional Relax package adds massaging seats, electrically adjustable leg rests, front pillows, a foldable table, a Sonos sound system, and an integrated wellness app with six different modes designed for occupant relaxation.

 

Five different interior design options are available for the Peaq, including Sportline and Sportline Lounge options.

While specific Australian arrival times and local specifications are yet to be officially confirmed, the Peaq will likely battle other large electric SUV models such as the Hyundai Ioniq 9 (from $119,750), the related Kia EV9 (from $97,000), and the Volvo EX90 (from $124,990).

 

The Peaq forms just one part of Skoda’s incoming electric SUV onslaught for Australia, which also includes the new Enyaq RS, Sportline and RS variants of the Elroq, and the Epiq small SUV.
